Most of the clay to form the vertical walls was dug from one area of the base where the underlying clay was particularly deep

The excavator digs the trenches that
are to be filled with clay to form the
vertical walls. These walls are about
3 metres deep by 1.5 metres wide.



The sloping sides of the lake begin to
take shape.
